Support built around the person

A steady plan for a complicated moment

Military experience, family dynamics, health, and substance use can overlap in deeply personal ways. We start with your family’s real situation and help you move forward with dignity and structure.

A respectful first conversation

We listen without labels or judgment, learn what is happening now, and help your family identify the next practical step.

Family alignment

We help loved ones communicate clearly, set healthy boundaries, and prepare to approach the Veteran as one supportive team.

Treatment option guidance

We help families consider appropriate treatment options and coordinate with the providers they choose, including VA and community pathways when relevant.

Support through transition

From the intervention through sober transport and family follow-up, we bring calm structure to a difficult moment.

When to reach out

You do not need a diagnosis to ask for guidance.

Families often wait for a crisis because they are unsure whether the situation is “serious enough.” A first call can simply help you name what is happening and understand your options.

  • Alcohol or drug use is disrupting relationships, work, health, or daily responsibilities.
  • The family is walking on eggshells, covering consequences, or arguing about what to do.
  • Previous conversations have ended in denial, anger, withdrawal, or promises that did not last.
  • Substance use may be overlapping with grief, isolation, trauma, anxiety, or depression.
  • A treatment option exists, but the family needs help presenting it clearly and respectfully.
  • You know something needs to change, but you are unsure whether an intervention is the right step.

What to expect

You don’t have to solve everything before you call.

The first call is a place to organize what you know, ask direct questions, and understand whether an intervention or another form of support may fit.
